NOTES FROM THE HIDEOUT
Dear property owners, members and friends,
It has been quite some time since our last official newsletter and I am writing you to share some exciting news. After a significant investment in the resort, we are pleased to announce that we are open for business with a renovated clubhouse, a new restaurant concept, new infrastructure for members, weekly live music and fun events and so much more. To keep you up to date this newsletter will be published monthly going forward.
There is so much to tell you, but I will start with this: We upgraded the resort membership for all property owners and resort members! Now you can book one consecutive week per calendar year, staying at the resort free of overnight charges. The stay is subject to advance reservation times and availability, so call our front desk to make arrangements and enjoy your stay with your family and friends!
Enjoy the updates and read below for all the details and exciting news!

ON THE GRILL
We are excited to welcome executive chef Brandon Douglas Smith to The Grill, bringing his culinary expertise to us from one of the top restaurants in Austin. He and his wife April joined our team in April, and we couldn’t be happier. Together with the team, they’ve developed a new restaurant concept along with a thoughtful and modern menu that elevates the dining experience at The Grill to new levels. A modern take on the steakhouse, The Grill is a true farm-to-table concept using ingredients sourced from top produce and farmers. We’ve also designed and cultivated our own signature garden for seasonal produce. Dining at The Grill will be a culinary treat for all your senses, and a memorable dining experience to share with your family and friends. Insider Tip: Our new signature dish, a deliciously mouth-watering, wood-fired grilled steak is not to be missed. Plus, you can now find our updated menu on the website.
We’ve also updated our bar experience to complement Chef Brandon’s culinary offerings.
Barbie Chapman, voted best bartender in Best of Brown County 2018, has designed our seasonal cocktail menu, in partnership with our new head bartender Lacy Barber.
HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW SITE?
Our website has also been streamlined and updated for better member communication - please visit the site for current information and events. See the fresh new design for yourself!
ADDITIONAL GUEST HOUSING
To make sure that property owners and members can stay at the resort and to accommodate the new weekly stay volume that is now part of the membership, we built 12 additional beautiful cabins, featuring a new design, selected by yours truly. In addition we brought in 10 RVs for a total of 33 guest rooms, cabins and RVs. We can’t wait for you to come out and stay at the resort. We will continue to build cabins as needed to provide sufficient capacity to our growing community.
WE’VE RENOVATED THE CLUBHOUSE!
The new restaurant concept wouldn’t be complete without a little ambiance. In doing so, we’ve updated and renovated the bar, main dining room, and downstairs lounge. Be sure to stop by and admire the new 9 foot wide, shoulder mounted longhorn steer, we lovingly call “The Beast”, installed in our main dining room.
We are planning to start infrastructure construction in King’s Point Cove’s Unit 3 in late October with roads, water, sewer and electricity. We expect completion by the end of June 2019. We are excited and hope to welcome new members and see additional home building activity very soon.
The Hideout Golf Club Voted Best of Brown County 2018!
A big “Thank You” to Mike Lowry and his team for keeping the golf course in impeccable condition. You did it again! To celebrate and complement our award-winning golf course, we’ve added a beautiful new fleet of 80 highly efficient lithium battery golf carts! The golf cart fleet is instrumental to our golf course operation and we made sure that they have the latest technology, and best performance for our members. Come play golf and take them for a ride!
